Going back to his indie-rock influences, RIPPERZ new track 'Wasted' is everything you'd ask for!
With an American indie-landfill feel, 'Wasted' is a classic feel good tune you can picture perfectly in those coming of age rom-coms! Rocking solos, booming drums and relatable lyrics, RIPPERZ has delved into the pits of indie greatness.
Admittedly, the chorus had me bopping my head and I knew the lyrics by the second listen, it really is that catchy. But my favourite part of the song is the bridge, ooh I am a sucker for a bridge. Stripping down and building back up with an increase in tempo, almost Catfish and the Bottlemen like, it suckered me in and had me tapping my feet along.
Vocally, RIPPERZ talent has never been in doubt and 'Wasted' showcases this perfectly. Putting his all into it, this would have been showcased day in day out back on NME early noughties that I'm sure of, along with the likes of Bowling for Soup and Green day.
